Animated Hanukkah Movie:

Nolan and Stephanie Recommend:

  1. Eight Crazy Nights (2002) – Fubo, Direct TV and Showtime
N- “Adam Sandler decided to make an animated holiday movie because there wasn’t enough Hannukah representation, and still isn’t, while also delivering his style of crude and immature comedy. Sit down and watch for some dumb laughs and a little bit of Hanukkah education.”

Animated Christmas Movie:

Nolan Recommends:

  1. An All Dogs Christmas Carol (1998) – Prime Video and Hoopla
Charlie B. Barker is back to save Christmas from the evil Carface. Great movie for kids and those looking to scratch the nostalgia itch.

Stephanie Recommends:

  1. The Grinch (2018) – AppleTV
A classic Christmas story we all know and love told through fresh animation

Animated Movie Wednesday:

Nolan Recommends

  1. Kubo and The Two Strings (2016) – Netflix
Not many have heard of this movie, however the all-star voice cast, combined with the unique animation style and original story make for a worthwhile experience.
  2. Hercules (1997) – Disney+
This classic Disney film follows a young Hercules as he trains and battles Titans to save Olympus. This movie single handedly got me interested in Greek Mythology as a kid, the music bangs and the story is epic.
  3. Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) – Disney+
Wes Anderson’s stop motion animation heist movie is one of the most ambitious films ever created. The voice cast is chalk full of A-List stars who deliver excellent dialogue and deadpan humour.

Stephanie Recommends:

  1. Monsters Inc (2001) – Disney+
One of the finest Pixar films ever made tells an original story with fresh humor and adorable characters. John Goodman and Billy Crystal are vessels for some of the best animated comedy in the last 20 years
  2. The Little Mermaid (1989) – Disney+
A timeless Disney soundtrack set to a classic tale with a modern twist. The villain Ursula is amongst the best animated villains in Disney history.
  3. Shrek (2001) – Peacock App
Most people can remember when this film took the world by storm. Michael Myers and Eddie Murphy team up to bring these characters to life. They will have children and adults laughing throughout the film

TV Hour:

Nolan Recommends:

  1. South Park – Happy Holograms S18 E10 (HBO Max)
  2. The Middle – The Christmas Wall S06 E09 (HBO Max, Direct TV, Fubo)
  3. Lizzie McGuire – Xtreme Xmas S02 E20 (Disney+)

Stephanie Recommends:

  1. Game of Thrones – Baelor S1 E9 (Hulu)
The GOT event that sets the entire series in motion. Spoiler alert, things go VERY wrong. RIP Ned Stark
